Provide all labor, material and equipment required to complete all painting and finishing required by the contract documents.
Comply with state and local regulations governing the use of paint materials
Deliver materials to job site in unopened containers bearing manufacturer's name and product description. Materials will be stored in dry, clean, well ventilated area, and the containers will be closed.
Protect floors and all adjacent surfaces from paint smears, splatters, and dripping.
Materials necessary to complete painting are architectural finishes of the Dunn-Edwards Corporation, Vista Corporation, Sinclair Corporation, Benjamin-Moore; Other brands may be attained upon special request.
Examine surfaces scheduled to receive paint and finishes for conditions that will adversely affect execution, permanence, and quality of the work; Will not apply paint or finish until conditions are satisfactory.
Prepare surfaces in a skillful manner to produce finish work of first class appearance and durability. Clean surfaces to rid it of dust, dirt, oil and other foreign matter prior to the application of the primer coat. Repair all voids, nicks, cracks with suitable patching material, and finish flush to adjacent surface. Prime ferrous metal, plaster, wood, and concrete masonry.
Apply material evenly, free from sags, runs, crawls, holidays or defects. Apply paint by brush, roller or spray. Employ costs and undercoats for all types of finishes in strict accordance with recommendations of the paint manufacturer. Allow each coat to thoroughly dry before each succeeding coat application.
Remove all surplus materials and debris from site at completion of the work. Remove all splattering from all finish surfaces. Leave paint storage spaces in a clean condition as found.
